This page catalogues the exploits of the BLT team whilst in Canada at the Liverpool International Theatre Festival, which was held during the week of May 12th to May 19th 2008.
During the week, BLT competed against companies from all over the world.
It was a great festival and we were proud to take part in it. We were amazed at the standing ovation that we received for our performance of 'Fancying Sheep', and astounded( and very pleased) to win two awards. Peta Maidman won Outstanding Supporting Actress(footage can be seen here) and Vic Mills won the Best New Play (writers award) - (footage can be seen here). The full list of winners can be found here
As well as performing 'Fancying Sheep' at the festival the company took part in a cultural exchange at two schools -we are grateful to them for their time and more information on them can be found here - Dr. J.C. Wickwire and South Queens Junior High

On behalf of all those who attended the trip, we would like to say a big thank you to everyone who made it possible (members, patrons, fundraisers, benefactors, councils, DAW, committee members) and to all the new friends that we made during our time in Canada - with a huge, and hearfelt thanks to all the families that we stayed with....your generosity was amazing!! Special thanks go to Debbie and Blair Raddell for their hospitality during the FA Cup Final and to Rob and Sonya Cook for all the time we spent in their Bar!! We have made some great friends in Canada - and look forward to returning to see them very soon.
